|(HELMOT IX) SPECIALISTS' MEETING|
The Southeast Region and the Hampton Roads Chapter of AHS and the Colonial Virginia Chapter of AAAA will sponsor a national conference on Helicopter Military Operations Technology, 31 October-2 November 2000. "Full Spectrum Rotorcraft Operations, "is the theme for the 2 ˝ days conference.
The conference will start with a full-day of classified presentations restricted to U.S. citizens only, held at Fort Eustis, Virginia; followed by 1 ˝ days of unclassified, unrestricted meetings held at the Radisson Fort Magruder Inn and Conference Center, Williamsburg, Virginia. HELMOT IX will recognize the depth and variety of the military operations that today and tomorrow’s rotorcraft systems will be called upon to support.
Key topic areas for the conference will include sessions on the expanded expectations of each military service for manned and unmanned VTOL aircraft. The focus is on forces that are deployable, agile, versatile, lethal, survivable, sustainable and dominant of every point along the spectrum of operations. The technical sessions will consist of senior military officers and industrial executives addressing the spectrum of operations and the associated technology opportunities from both the warfighter and the material developer’s perspectives. The classified sessions will address the variety and capability of the treats throughout the spectrum of environments and locations of likely future conflicts.
Theme related military and industry exhibits of new hardware and equipment will be displayed.
In conjunction with HELMOT this year, there will be pre-conference golf tournament held the afternoon of Monday 30 October. Details for registration and sponsorship are up coming. Proceeds to benefit USO.
